DAITO-RYU AIKIJUJUTSU Precepts of practice

一つ
道場は心の場であり
礼に始まり礼に終わる

First:
The dojo is the place where our souls meet
We begin with respect and we finish with respect.

一つ
道は深遠なれば常に
鍛錬自強不息

First:
The path to follow is deep and far
With discipline we exert ourselves constantly

一つ
高慢は油断の始まり
敗れの元なり

First:
Boastfulness causes carelessness
and may be the origin of our defeat

一つ
心を正し、身を正し、
技を正し、行いを正せ

First:
Honest heart, right appearance,
Correct techniques and good attitude.

一つ
道の究極は和なり
人道を尽くして是を極めよ

First:
Peace is the ultimate destination.
